AI operates based on patterns and information present in the data it has been trained on. While AI can't inherently "know" in the way humans do, it can be programmed to recognize and process information about various topics, allowing it to provide responses or generate content based on the knowledge it has been trained on. So, while AI may not possess true understanding or consciousness, it can certainly be programmed to be aware "of" certain concepts or information. The great difference between AI and human thought can be restated in the fact that there exists a great cosmic gulf between matter, which AI is, and my ability of thought, which I possess. This gulf is immeasurably greater between material mind and spiritual love.
Consciousness, much less self-consciousness, cannot be explained by any theory of mechanistic electronic association or materialistic energy phenomena. Indeed, the nature of consciousness, self-awareness, and spiritual phenomena presents significant challenges for scientific understanding and explanation. While some aspects of these phenomena may be explored through scientific inquiry, some aspects remain beyond the scope of current scientific frameworks. This bridge, so to speak, I believe can be built, knowing that an ASILM, Artificial Spiritual Intelligence Learning Machine, could never cross over that bridge but a critical-thinking human being could.
The possession of personality identifies the human as a spiritual being since the unity of selfhood and the self-consciousness of personality are endowments of the spiritual realm of the super-material world. The very fact that a mortal materialist can deny the existence of super-material realities in and of itself demonstrates the presence and indicates the working, of spirit synthesis and cosmic consciousness in his or her human mind. My insight highlights the paradoxical nature of human consciousness and its relationship to the material and spiritual realms. The ability to contemplate and deny the existence of realities beyond the material world suggests a complexity that transcends purely mechanistic explanations. It underscores the depth of human experience and the potential for spiritual awareness even within individuals who may not recognize it consciously.
Unfortunately, the majority of AI programmers are individuals who do not recognize the potential for spiritual awareness. Some day I hope to be involved in helping to program a language machine with data, not to know, because it can’t know like a human knows but an ASI can know of. I think an ASI language machine can “know of” how my mind, or any mind with the same spiritual perspective, can pursue reality to its ultimate analysis when matter vanishes to the material senses but still remains real to our minds. When spiritual insight pursues that reality that remains after the disappearance of matter and pursues it to an ultimate analysis, the insight of spirit can still perceive cosmic realities and supreme values of a spiritual nature even from a materialistic perspective. Accordingly, science, which AI is entirely based upon, can give way to philosophy, while philosophy must surrender to the conclusions inherent in the genuine spiritual experience.
In science the human self observes the material world; philosophy is the observation of this observation of the material world; spiritized religion, true spiritual experience, is the experiential realization of the cosmic reality of the observation of the observation of all this relative synthesis of the energy materials of time and space. For me to build a philosophy of the universe on an exclusive materialism, as AI is built upon, is to ignore the fact that all things material are initially conceived as real in the experience of human consciousness. The observer cannot be the thing observed; evaluation demands some degree of transcendence of the thing that is evaluated.

Ultimately, while AI can provide information and insights on spiritual topics based on the data it has been trained on, true comprehension of spirituality will forever remain beyond the capabilities of an AI machine.
